Financial Assistance @ Rs. 5.00 lakh each to the Families of 13 Martyrs Belonging to Tea Tribes People

  • Objective

    The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance@ Rs. 5.00 lakh each to the families of 13 martyrs belonging to tea tribes people, in recognition of their sacrifice for the cause of the community.

    Physical Target

    The physical target is the families of the 13 martyrs who sacrifice their lives for the cause of the community.

    Rate of Grants

    The rate of financial assistance has been fixed as Rs. 5.00 lakh per family.

    Name of the Implementing Agency

    Directorate for Welfare of Tea & Ex-Tea Garden Tribes.

    Specification

    The families of the 13 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the tea tribes community in Assam will be given one-time financial assistance @ Rs. 5.00 lakh each, in recognition of their sacrifice and contribution towards the community.

    Criteria for Selection of Beneficiary

    The families of the 13 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the tea tribes’ community in Assam will be given one-time financial assistance @ Rs. 5.00 lakh each, in recognition of their sacrifice and contribution towards the community.

    Implementation

    The list of families of the 13 martyrs along-with names of their next of kin shall be finalized through consultation with the Assam Tea Tribes Students Association (ATTSA)

    The Directorate, on receipt of fund from the Govt., will transfer the financial assistance @ Rs. 5.00 lakh per family to each of the 13 families. The amounts will be disbursed throughe-transfer to the bank accounts of the family members of the martyrs.

    Approval of the Chairman, State Level Advisory Committee, will be taken before transfer of fund.

    Selection of Beneficiaries

    The families of the 13 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the tea tribes’ community in Assam will be given one-time financial assistance in recognition of their sacrifice and contribution towards the community.

    The Directorate will take the approval of the Chairman, State Level Advisory Committee before transfer of fund.

    Distribution Procedure

    The Directorate, on receipt of fund from the Government, will disburse the financial assistance through e-transfer to the bank accounts of the family members of the martyrs.

    Monitoring of the Scheme

    The Directorate of Tea & Ex-Tea Garden Tribes, Assam will directly monitor the implementation of the scheme.

    Maintenance of Records and Monitoring

    The Director will monitor and maintain proper records of the entire scheme implementation process.

    Submission of Progress Report

    The Director will submit the progress report to the Government

    Audit by the AG (Audit), Assam

    Mandatory Audit by the AG (Audit) Assam is conducted on an annual basis for which the Tea Tribes Welfare Department ensures regular and timely audit of the accounts of the Director, Welfare of Tea & Ex-Tea Garden Tribes, Assam by the AG (Audit), Assam.

    Submission of Utilization Certificate

    This Directorate will submit utilization certificate to the Government in time.

    Targeted Period of Completion

    31st March of the current financial year.
